Devin Reams wearing a teal shirt in front of a teal sign that says 'trouble'

Howdy! I’m Devin. I’m sensibly impulsive, consistently non-committal, and passionately impartial. I’m a technologist living in Denver, Colorado.

Trunk Club Men’s Outfitters: A clothing service for men

Speaking of dressing like a grown up, [Ramit]( introduced me to a helpful service called Trunk Club. In short, you pick out outfits on their site that match your style, chat with your own consultant about the clothes you want, and then in a few days you receive a big box full of great (high end) clothing. If you like it all, keep it. If you don’t, put those pieces in the box and send it back. If you’ve looked at catalogs and said “well, I like that look” but then arrived at a store only to fail at picking out outfits, this is a no brainer. Ramit summed it up best: “It saves me HOURS of time and gets terrific results”.

Put This On, Episode 7: Personal Style

My favorite web series is [Put This On]( hosted by Jesse Thorn and Adam Lisagor. In the final installment of Season 1, Sandy imparts the wise quip: “Every day put on one piece of clothing that says something about who you are…” (I won’t spoil the punchline),

Every Day I’m Shufflin’

After watching the [Party Rock Anthem music video]( by LMFAO (thanks, Rachel!) I realized my “white-boy running in place” dance moves are now just called “the shuffle”. Nice!

Estimate acceleration: the law of doubling estimates

Regrets of the Dying – Inspiration and Chai

[Bronnie Ware](, a worker in palliative care, summarized the top five regrets of the dying. Number 2 is “I wish I didn’t work so hard”.

Congrats to Denver-based @bradybecker and @hiroprot for the launch of their latest endeavor (their previous was [Brightkite]( @forkly. It looks like a beautiful, simple way to share what you’re eating and enjoying when you’re out and about and discover new restaurants and foods. I’m excited to start trying it out.

Facebook: Making It Easier to Share With Who You Want

New changes to Facebook are being rolled out to control who can see your content. As with previous attempts, this gives a lot more control that people keep asking for. But, makes it much more confusing and a little harder to manage. Good news though: people (mostly female) across Facebook are rejoicing over one of the most requested features (anecdotal): the ability to pre-approve photos you’re tagged in.
